EA is waiting new consoles for 2013 (planned time for Battlefield 4) but are they ready?

So far there is no certain info that new consoles should be released at 2013 from Sony and Microsoft, but EA is waiting them to be released as it's planning to release Battlefield 4 with new consoles.

If there won't be new consoles, Battlefield 4 will be downscaled to old consoles...

I'm guessing that at least one of them will have a console before Christmas next year. Nintendo will release later this year if I remember correctly and Microsoft and Sony won't give Nintendo too much time unopposed if they can help it.
Either way I hope that BF4 won't be dummed down to fit a console, BF3 had it right, first PC and then consoles not the other way around like so many other companies make games.
