There has been a lot of dancing around the subject, but no actual denial
when it comes to the "rumored" Battlefield 3 Premium Service.

We can happily confirm that the Battlefield 3 Premium Content Service is
no rumor, and is definitely set to launch on June 4th, 2012, along with
the double XP for PC players.

When the "rumor" first started circulating, we had a credible source, which turned out to be right. Now we have multiple sources which are all saying the exact same thing.

The date may be subject to change as of now, since this post has gone live,
but remember - it's coming, and with the mix reaction of fans, who
knows where it'll take the Battlefield franchise.

Here's some the information regarding Battlefield Premium. Thanks to our good friend 32bita:

Battlefield
Premium contains all 5 Battlefield expansion packs with early access,
new camos, and exclusive in-game items for a one-time fee.
Now that it's confirmed, what are your thoughts?

If they leave it at all unlocks (the so called short cuts), early access to new exp and a few none combat items then I can live with it. The items depending on what they are can be good or bad. I could live with if they give them binoculars or similar. As long as it don't impact the balance and increase paying players damage/amour/other perks. If they start messing around with that could it be the first nail in the coffin for this game...

Sure if some kid wants to pay to not have to do all the work, just go ahead it won't give them better chances against others. In fact it could be to their disadvantage, if you unlock everything over the course of several months do you take the time to test the new stuff you get to see what it can do. If you get everything at ones do you tend to go straight for the "best" weapons and can miss quite a few diamonds in the rough. Would it not be funny if a lot of those that buys that actually spends most their time with the M16A4? They would spend money and still stick with the first weapon because it is regarded as one of the best Assault weapons.

According latest info, Battlefield Premium will be one time payment only, not monthly. Will be slightly cheaper than all addons together with BF3.

Battlefield Premium will allegedly include:

20 Maps
20 New Weapons
10+ New Vehicles
4+ New Game Modes
30+ Assignments
20+ Dog Tags
Also includes “Premium Benefits” which are made up of skins, camos and most importantly early access to all DLC.

These maps, weapons, vehicles game modes assignments and dog tags are spread across the following DLC:

Back to Karkand
Close Quarters in June 2012
Armored Kill in Fall 2012
Aftermath in late 2012
End Game in Spring 2013

If this info is correct, this means we can expect a 5th, unannounced expansion pack titled Aftermath to be released before End Game. It is said that DICE will announce official details on June 4th during EA’s E3 press conference.

Pricing is different to Premium at all around the world.
Premium costs 25 eur in Brazil and India, 50 eur in EUR countries. Around 52 in Sweden, Uk price around 57 eur, while americans get it on 42 eur.
Australia has highest price, 63 eur (consoles) and their PC pricing is 41 eur and there is a long debate at EA forums to make EA to put one price to all continents/areas. Let's see do we see any price changes. Anyway I think they will not change pricing in EU.
